What needs to be done before Confirmation:
1. Choose a Confirmation Saint
2. Complete 10 Volunteer Hours
3. Choose a Sponsor
All candidates for Confirmation must select a sponsor.
Requirements to be a sponsor:
- at least sixteen years old
- baptized Catholic, who has been Confirmed and has already received the Blessed Eucharist, and meets the three sub-requirements:
- sincerely believes and strives to put into practice the Word of God as taught by the Catholic Church,
- regularly takes part in the Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation,
- and if married, was married in accordance with the requirements of the Catholic Church.
- neither the father or the mother of the candidate for Confirmation
The sponsor must complete the Sponsor Form below.
