Volunteer Opportunities for Confirmation Students

Sunday CCD — every Sunday at 10:00-11:00 AM

Volunteers are needed at CCD on Sundays (10:00-11:00 AM in the Bartlewski Center).

Stop by the office on the main floor to check in.

Ask the teacher you are helping to sign your volunteer hour sheet.

Bottles/Cans — Sunday, October 4, at 11:00 AM

Volunteers are needed to help the Youth Ministry sort, count, and bag all donated bottles/cans by the Bartlewski Center garages.

YM Projects — Sunday, October 4, right after Bottles/Cans

Volunteers are needed to help the Youth Ministry with their parking lot island and finalizing the parish mission board.

Service Monday — October 5 at 7:00-8:00 PM

Volunteers can join the Youth Ministry in the church hall on Service Mondays for a snack and service project.

“Meals for Neighbors” Dinner at the Faith Lutheran Church — Tuesday, October 6, at 3:00 PM

Volunteers from our parish prepare and serve dinner at the Faith Lutheran “Meals for Neighbors” soup kitchen (27 Judd Street, Bristol) at 3:00-5:00.

Rosary Making Workshop — Sunday, October 11, at 2:00 PM

The Legion of Mary invites all parishioners, families, and friends to join in an afternoon of spiritual work making rosaries in the Bartlewski Center.

Ask Mary Stepkoski to sign your volunteer hour sheet.

The Rosary Making Workshop is the second Sunday of each month.

Sandwich Sunday — October TBD after the TBD Mass

Volunteers will meet in the church hall/kitchen after Mass to prepare 50 sandwiches for delivery to St. Vincent de Paul homeless shelter in Bristol.

Sandwich Sunday is the last Saturday/Sunday of each month. Mass times vary.

Jasełka Play — rehearsals beginning in November

Jasełka is the annual Polish nativity play put on by the youth of our parish.

Everyone who would like to participate must attend the meeting on October 11 at 10:00 AM.

Rehearsals begin in November, and the play will be on Saturday, January 9.

Service Sunday — November 22 at 11:00 AM

Service Sunday begins in the church hall at 11:00 AM. Everyone is invited. 

Service work includes:

• preparing and delivering Thanksgiving food baskets, 
• setting up the Advent giving tree,
• changing out the missalettes, boxing up food pantry donations,
• and more.

Lunch will be provided for volunteers.

Night with St. Nick — December 5

The CCD Parents Group needs volunteers to help set up for Night with St. Nick and to help on the day of Night with St. Nick. 

• We need volunteers to help on Friday, December 4, from 5-8, in setting up tables, craft area, Christmas trees and decorating them.
• We need 3-4 volunteers to help on Saturday, December 5, from 5-8pm the day of Night with St Nick, with craft table in helping kids with the crafts. Volunteers will be served dinner with the rest of the guests.

Family Night (Jasełka) Dinner — Saturday, January 9, at 5:00 PM

Renia needs volunteers to help with the Family Night dinner on January 9.

Altar Serving — every Mass

If you’re not already an altar server, speak to Deacon Rich after Mass to learn more and sign up for altar serving.

You can altar serve on weekends and weekdays. See the Mass schedule in the bulletin or here.

Lectoring — per lector schedule

Lectors are volunteers who read at Mass.

Speak to Christina (our cantor and choir director) after Mass to learn more and sign up.

Adoration at St. Gregory — every Tuesday at 7:00 PM

St. Gregory the Great Church (235 Maltby Street, Bristol) has an hour of Eucharistic adoration every Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.

Adoration at St. Matthew — every day

St. Matthew Church (120 Church Ave, Bristol) has a Blessed Sacrament Chapel open for Eucharistic adoration every day:

• Monday: 8 am – 6 pm
• Tuesday: 8 am – 6 pm
• Wednesday: 9 am – 6 pm
• Thursday: 8 am – 8 pm
• Friday: 8 am – 6 pm
• Saturday: 9 am – 3:30 pm
• Sunday: 12 pm – 4:45 pm
